Psychologists (full time)

Location: Springwood, QLD

Are you looking for your next professional challenge? We are looking to fill multiple full-time positions for our growing Springwood practice. The work will focus on supporting clients impacted by adversity and will involve working across the lifespan. The ideal applicant will have a background in working with trauma and experience applying a range of therapeutic interventions. This role has the potential to expand into providing medicare and NDIS therapeutic services.

We also have some part-time and subcontracting options available for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions to individual clients via mixed modes of delivery e.g. telehealth / face to face;
  • Client KPI of 5 sessions per day, with the aim of only one bulk bill client per day;
  • Maintain confidential written records of all sessions and ensure timely entry in our client management systems;
  • Compose detailed and concise correspondence to external stakeholders in a timely manner as required e.g. GP letters;
  • Liaise with external agencies and medical/allied health professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to service delivery;
  • Provide mobile visits to clients for off site consultation;
  • Attend regular case conferencing and team meetings;
  • Maintain ongoing professional development;

Essential Criteria:

  • Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA;
  • Fully vaccinated (COVID);
  • Willingness to receive annual flu vaccinations (depending on service program).
  • Police check

What we can offer you: 

We offer our full-time fully registered Psychologists a starting package of $100K plus fringe benefits which increases the value of the total package to $106K. You would need to earn $110K to get the same amount of income if you worked for an organisation that did not have these fringe benefits.

We have a diverse range of client work available including medicare and NDIS therapeutic services. The ideal applicant will have a background in working with trauma, across the lifespan, and have experience applying a range of therapeutic interventions. This role has the potential to expand into providing other therapeutic services, such as support to clients impacted by flooding and adversity.

Provisional Psychologists (5+1 Internship)

Location: Brighton to Fortitude Valley area

We are seeking a provisionally registered psychologist for a 2-day position (15 hours per week), working Mondays and Tuesdays only. This role will be based across the area from Brighton to Fortitude Valley, so a candidate located in these areas will be ideal. This role will be responsible for supporting the service delivery of our Psychology in Aged Care program, by providing assessment and psychological support to older adult clients. This role would suit a practitioner with a strong interest in working with older adults and building their geropsychology skills.

  • Liaise with external agencies and medical/allied health professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to service delivery;
  • Provide mobile visits to clients for off site consultation;
  • Attend regular case conferencing and team meetings;
  • Maintain ongoing professional development;

Essential Criteria:

  • Completion of an approved 4 or 5-year degree in Psychology;
  • Provisionally registered as a psychologist with AHPRA (or pursuing the 5+1 pathway);
  • Fully vaccinated (COVID) and willingness to receive annual flu vaccinations;
  • Excellent therapeutic skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Criteria: 

  • Working knowledge of Halaxy and Fixus client management systems.
