Karen has worked with clients across the lifespan experiencing a broad range of
psychological presentations, such as: anxiety, depression, complex trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, adjustment difficulties, and ageing. Karen’s therapeutic practice is largely grounded in a person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach, providing warmth and empathic understanding. She uses a range of evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based therapy.

Karen holds special interest in the areas of complex trauma, PTSD, and the mental health challenges faced in late adulthood.

Karen has previous experience in allied health, government, and community settings, including child safety services, in which she provided in-depth support to children, adolescents, and families.
