Dr Romy Engelbrecht is a registered psychologist and music therapist, who is currently completing her clinical registrar program. Romy is deeply passionate about working with young adults, adults and older adults to improve their wellbeing. Romy brings warmth, compassion and creates a safe space for her clients in each session, where they feel understood, accepted and supported.

Romy draws from a range of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness approaches to meet the unique needs of her clients. She acts as an equal partner with her clients to work through their therapy together. Romy has experience in providing therapy across the lifespan, and in grief and loss, palliative care, pain management, different anxiety presentations, depression, dementia, trauma, OCD, PTSD, depression, interpersonal difficulties and in workplace wellbeing initiatives. Romy is particularly passionate about working with the anxiety-based disorders and in health psychology, and will work with clients from all ages and backgrounds.
