Sigrid O’Callaghan

Sigrid-2-200x200

Sigrid is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who offers psychodynamic psychotherapy. People who suffer from common mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relational difficulties, trauma, or eating disorders will benefit from this form of psychotherapy.

Throughout the past 30 years, Sigrid has worked in a variety of roles across private, non-government and tertiary educational settings. These work experiences taught her invaluable lessons about the psychotherapeutic process and helped develop her approach. Sigrid continues her learning from the encounter with her patients, trainers, supervisors, and colleagues.

Sigrid sees adult patients with moderate, severe, and longstanding mental health concerns, usually with a once a week arrangement for short-or long-term psychotherapy. The first three initial sessions help to identify what patients are looking for and what they may require so that a therapeutic process can be developed. Sigrid is originally from Germany and happy to conduct sessions in German if required.

Sigrid also offers clinical supervision for experienced colleagues and psychology registrars.
