Amanda is a wonderful practitioner who works collaboratively with clients and who has a strong focus on person-centred therapy. She prioritises this by meeting her clients at whatever stage they are currently at psychologically before moving forward with therapy.

Amanda has experience working with a range of client demographics and presentations including older adults and adolescents with trauma, those who are victims of crime, flood recovery victims, and a range of other presentations. She also has a special interest in working with vulnerable clients who are at risk of suicide or self-harm, and providing them with alternative solutions and to see possibilities for themselves beyond their pain.

By day, Amanda is working with clients through the use of many types of therapeutic frameworks, in particular she has a preference for cognitive therapies like DBT and CBT, and she also enjoys utilising ACT. On the weekends Amanda likes to spend time with her family and enjoy the relaxation of yoga.
